Since 2021, we have partnered with Flexport to support verified carbon offsetting for inbound logistics. 

'In 2024-25 Renfold purchased and retired 396 tonnes of Verified Carbon Units via Flexport. Carbon credits do not reduce our own emissions however these credits purchased have split between two projects in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia on behalf of Renfold:

The Katingan Project:

The Katingan Project protects and restores 149,800 hectares of peatland ecosystems in Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. It covers one of the largest remaining intact peat swamp forests in the region, supporting local communities with sustainable livelihoods while tackling global climate change.

The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project:

Rimba Raya preserves approximately 64,000 hectares of tropical peat swamp forest in Central Kalimantan - an area rich in biodiversity, including the endangered Bornean orangutan. The project protects the integrity of the adjacent Tanjung Puting National Park by creating a physical buffer zone along its ~90 km eastern border.

We work with suppliers and factories whose standards align with our values.  

Our suppliers are required to hold recognised factory certifications that support ethical, health, safety and labour compliance. We accept SMETA / SEDEX, amfori BSCI and WRAP certifications. 

These standards help support responsible labour practices, including health and safety, responsible chemical use, the prevention of child labour and alignment with global anti-slavery principles. 

To strengthen this area further, we will continue improving how we record, review and monitor supplier certification data. Our aim by end of 2027 is to build a clearer supplier due diligence process that helps us identify risk earlier, support improvement where needed and make more informed sourcing decisions.

Reducing our environmental footprint is central to how we operate.

Transport remains a key area of focus. Through better planning and more effective critical path management across our logistics, we’re continually working to reduce our reliance on air freight and the proportion of products we ship by air.

When it comes to our packaging and swing tags, we use only FSC-certified sources for our paper and card, and our garment bags are made from 100% recycled materials. We also use paperless shipments and returns (aside from the postage bags and boxes, of course). 

All our packaging can be recycled: paper and card at the kerbside, and plastic bags at local soft plastic recycling collection points such as supermarkets.
